Our Story

From South Wales to the Mornington Peninsula

Australian Pool Resurfacing is a family-owned company based on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula in southern Victoria. We operate from our head office and showroom at Unit 16, 33 Milgate Drive.

We are a Welsh family, born and raised around South Wales in the UK, before moving to Australia in 2007. Our fibreglass journey began with our Grandfather Thomas White who ran colliery trucks into the coal mines of South Wales. It was repairs of fibreglass truck bodies that first introduced both him and his son Stephen to fibreglass composites.

Over the next 30 years Stephen became more involved with fibreglass composite work as he was a keen power boat racer, rising to win numerous British titles. Stephen then began a powerboat manufacturing company in the early 80s which saw his boats distributed across Europe.

Due to economic downturn in the mid 90s the company diversified into commercial fibreglass roofing, which saw massive growth in the composite roofing market throughout the UK.

Stephen continued this until the family moved to Australia in 2007. We started up originally in Mornington repairing and restoring boats of all sizes before diversifying into the renovation of swimming pools.

Stephen manages the company along with his two sons Harvey and Ashley. Between them there are over 85 years experience in all aspects of fibreglass. We believe it's our fundamental knowledge of composites that gives us a competitive edge.
